Introduction for CMET
Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology is a technological Society Registered under Ministry of Information Technology, with the important aim to set up technology strength in electronics materials for the present and future industrial requirement. CMET to apply the national mineral resources in the most optimum manner, C-MET, Hyderabad plans to adopt development activities for process technologies for high purity metals like Indium, Gold, Tantalum, Arsenic, Gallium, Bismuth, Tellurium, Selenium, Cadmium etc. The administration and management of the Society are vested with a Governing Council, a Steering commission and an Executive Committee.
The C-MET high purity materials are the basic building blocks of electronics technology and therefore C-MET, Hyderabad is required in development also as grading up of operations for production of high purity metals, alloys, special dopants and semiconductor materials. The Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology R&D activities at present admit development of thick film materials, polymers for electronics, specialty chemicals and glasses, ultra high purity and refractory metals, semiconductors, electronic ceramics and fine powder processing.
