Anna University was demonstrated on 4th September 1978 as a unitary type of University. It extends higher education in Engineering, Technology and allied Sciences relevant to the current and projected needs of the society. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an entrance examination conducted all year by Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu Government. TANCET is for admission in Master of Engineering
