NERIST NEE
NERIST was launched in the years 1984 under the Government of India. There are conduct three difference entrance examinations for admission in three difference levels much s NEE-I, NEE-II, NEE-III. There are individual entrance tests for certification, Diploma and Degree courses called NEE I, NEE II and NEE III separately.

NERIST Entrance Exam (NEE) is carried on North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology each year for admission to its degree, diploma and certificate courses. There are classifying Entrance Exam for Certificate, Diploma and Degree courses called NEE I, NEE II and NEE III respectively.

Eligibility criteria:
For NEE I (Certificate):
A candidate should have passed class 10th or equivalent with Science and Mathematics. Also a candidate should not be more than 19 years of age as on 1st August, 2011. For SC/ST/PH the age limit is 24 years and for OBC/Female candidates the age limit is 22 years.

For NEE II (Diploma):
A candidate should not be more than 23 years of age as on 1st August, 2011. For SC/ST/PH the age limit is 28 years and for OBC/Female candidates the age limit is 26 years.

For Engineering:
A candidate should have passed class 12th or equivalent with PCM or Vocational in Electronics/ Farm Machinery & Equipment / Electrical / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Automobile Technology/ Structure & Fabrication Technology/ Computer Science OR NERIST Certificate.

For Forestry:
A candidate should have passed class 12th or equivalent with PCB or vocational in Forestry/ Horticulture or NERIST Certificate (Forestry).

For NEE III (Degree):
A candidate should not be more than 23 years of age as on 1st August, 2011. For SC/ST/PH the age limit is 28 years and for OBC/Female candidates the age limit is 26 years.
A candidate should have passed diploma in the field he/she wants to choose for degree.
