ND Graduation Requirements
According to the National Education Association, www.nea.org, 68 percent of public high school students in North Dakota [ND] who are taking AP exams make scores which are high enough to permit them to characterize to earn college credit. The state ranks amongst the top states for AP exam takers making such high scores and these graduates are better prepared to go to college because of the challenging courses.
ND Graduation Requirements
The following are North Dakota’s program requirements for high school graduation:
English (Three credits comprised of English 9, 10 and 11)
Senior Composition (0.5 credits)
Senior Literature (0.5 credits)
Speech (0.5 credits)
Physical Education (1.5 credits)
Health (0.5 credit)
Science (Two credits comprised of Physical Science and Biology)
Mathematics (Two credits comprised of Algebra I and other Math course)
Global Studies (one credit)
U.S. History (One credit)
