National Institute of Immunology (NII) is an independent institution supported through the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. NII PhD programme is associated to Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi. The Institute is devoted to innovative research addressing the basic mechanisms in health care required in body’s defence, host-pathogen interactions and related fields with a view to contribute to the creation of an internationally competitive good knowledge base as a sustainable source of innovative modalities of likely use in health care. The aim of the institute is advanced research in the field of immunology.
NII has an advanced infrastructure and a highly qualified faculty. National Institute of Immunology (NII) in New Delhi has published the notification for the PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) entrance exam 2011. NII is held for admission into PhD program, provided in the following disciplines for the upcoming session in 2011.

Eligibility criteria for National Institute of Immunology for Phd 2011:
Candidate must have one of the following qualifications: M.Sc in any branch of science/ M.Tech./ M.B.B.S./ M.V.Sc./ M.Pharma. Also the candidate should have got a minimum aggregate of 60% in class 12th examinations.

Date of Entrance Test: 12th February, 2011 (Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, & Kolkata)
Declaration of Results : February 22, 2011
Interviews will be held at National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi from June 2-5, 2011 in 2 stages
