The National Institute of Fashion Technology was founded in 1985-86 with the Vision to arise human resources in the fields of Fashion Design, Technology and Management. NIFT was set up by the auspices of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Throughout the years, NIFT has set academic criteria and stood out of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. NIFT has set academic criteria and excelled in expected leadership by rendering a pool of originative genius and technically adequate professionals. The Institute renders a common platform for fashion education, research and training.
NIFT is rendering a pool of originative genius and technological ability to the fashion industry, nationally as well as globally. The National Institute of Fashion Technology, a prime academic institute of design, management and technology, aims at founding the benchmark for the quality of leaders that go into the fashion industry. The Institute renders broad and advanced infrastructure and instrumentality to carry both practical and theoretical training.
