Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (SET) is an examination for lecturership in Universities and Institutes of Maharashtra. University allows commission (UGC) has accredited the State Governments/State Agencies on behalf of the State Governments to direct the State Eligibility Test(SET) for lectureship. SET is directed through University of Pune which is the state agency appointed by Government of Maharashtra.

Mid of December, 2011
Online Form Submission Starts : First week of september, 2011
Last Date of Online submission: Last week of september, 2011
Last Date of Hard Copy Submission: start of October 2011
Availability of forms
Application forms will be available at the several centers from the month of May. Students willing to take admission in the several institutes have to collect an application form from the several centers. The applicants have to present the dully filled application form within the third week of June.
Eligibility
Applicants must have a Masters degree with min. 55% aggregate marks (50% for ST/ST/PH/VH). Applicants can only appear for SET in the discipline in which they have done Masters. There is no upper age limit. Applicant in their final year or expecting their results can also apply.
How to Apply
applicants have to apply online by the website . After applying online applicants have to take a print out of the filled form and refer it along with a Demand Draft and copies of necessary documents to University of Pune.
