Kerala University Scholarship
The University of Travancore which finally got the University of Kerala was launched in 1937 by a announcement of the Maharaja of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma who was also the first Chancellor of the University. In 1957, the Kerala University Act, Act 14 of 1957, was made into force and the University of Travancore was named University of Kerala.

B.A/B.Sc./B.Com./ B.Ed./ LL.B. Degree Courses
There are 142 merit scholarships of the value of Rs. 900/- each per annum.
B. Tech Courses
There are 10 merit scholarships for Engineering Degree of the value of Rs. 900/- each per annum.
Medical Degree Courses
There are 5 merit scholarships for Engineering Degree of the value of Rs. 900/- each per annum.
M.A/M.Sc/ M.Com/ LL.M/ M.Ed/ MLI.Sc./ MBA/MCJ
There are 152 merit scholarships of the value of Rs. 1200/- each per annum.
B.Ed in the University Teacher Education Centers
There are 7 merit scholarships of the value of Rs. 1500/- each per annum.
M.Phil
There are 10 scholarships of the value of Rs. 200/- each per month on income basis. The annual income should not exceed Rs. 5000/- .
