JMI Admission
Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally constituted at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a key University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’.
Admission
Admissions to wholly the courses in Jamia Millia Islamia are held yearly. Individuals looking for admission to any course are needed to present the prescribed Application Form which may be got from the University Counter on payment of the prescribed fees, or it may be downloaded from this website and presented along with the prescribed fees as referred in the Prospectus. The individuals are needed to go by an Entrance Test, carried on by the respective departments of the university, followed by an Interview; in some specific courses, a Group Discussion is also held.
Generally most of the admission forms are supplied in the month of May/June, exclude for Mass Communication programmes for which forms are generally issued in the month of March yearly.
