The Institute of Management Education and Research (IMER), an educational embark of Karnatak Law Society, was begun at Belgaum in 1991 with the back up from famous educationist, Dr. P.C Shejwalkar. Its two Year full time Master of Business Administration Programme, attached to Karnatak University, has been designed to train people in the basic and functional fields of Management, and to grow initiative, analytical ability, effective communication and a sense of responsibility among them. The IMER believes that training the managers is not enough to train them to think professionally is more important. In addition, the students undergo “In-plant” training for a period of 120 days.
