The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi launched the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University under the victuals of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act 1998.The main intention of the University is to foster research and extension work in issuing fields of higher education. The University is accepted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act.
