The Indian Space Programme is aimed at encouraging the development and application of Space Science and Technology for the socio-economic benefit of the country. The objective of ISRO is to develop space technology and its application to various national tasks. The noteworthy success in the Space Programme were the result of well-organized activities undertaken by ISRO aimed at mastering cutting edge technology through indigenous efforts and utilizing the expertise available with the Organization. ISRO has developed two major space systems, INSAT for communication, television broadcasting and meteorological services, and Indian Remote Sensing Satellites system for resources monitoring and management.
The future ISRO Programmes envisage development of cutting edge technologies for reusable launch vehicles, advanced high efficiency, semi direct actuation system, air breathing actuation, advanced communication satellite-based navigation system, inter-planetary missions.

Selection Process
The selection is done on the basis of initial screening test based on the on-line application. The criteria for screening will include factors such as percentage/class in Diploma/Degree, etc.
The screened-in candidates will have to appear for an interview with the Selection Committee.
Eligibility:
Candidate must have done graduation from the recognized university .
Candidate must have master’s degree from the in Library Science / Library and Information Science with at least 60 % aggregate from the recognized University
Candidate must not be more than 35 years of age to be eligible for this course.
