Establish in 1974, the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) at IIT Kanpur was one of the first in the nation to accredit the strength of combining the training of engineers with management. at present time this Department is pursued in a diverse set of activities including teaching, industry consultancy, management development programs, academic research and public sector projects., The department presently offers one of the bestMBA degrees for their students.

Eligibility for MBA at IITK:
Students have must a graduation degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture with mini. 60% aggregate marks or equal CGPA in the qualifying exam. students having graduation degree in Architecture should have had Maths in 10+2.
