Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL), Pimpri, Pune, is the prime public sector undertaking in the Drugs & Pharmaccutical field. The plant was authorized in 1955-56. The undertaking with its plant at Pimpri, Pune is pursued in the manufacture of bulk drugs, primarily Penicillins, Streptomycin and a number of formulations.HAL has also four joint field undertakings of which three units have been encouraged in collaboration with the respective State Governments and one with a private sector company. given below
