Will you please provide the information regarding the Certificate Course in Yoga Education available at Yoga Kendra club of Jawaharlal Nehru University ?

The JNU Yoga Kendraclub which was established in the year 1999 under the UGC Scheme of "Promotion of Yoga Education and Practices in Universities" located in the sports complex and is open to the entire University.

Annual yoga competition is held both for the boys and the girls in different age categories.

The classes are held both in the morning and evening.

JNU Yoga Kendra organized the seventh six weeks Certificate Course in Yoga Education

This course is conducted every year during the months of May/June.

The classes were held on all working days from 7.00 am to 12.00 Noon.

The course was formally inaugurated on 15 May, 2007.

The course content included both theory sessions as well as practical conducted by Sh. Umesh Babu (In charge Yoga Kendra) and by Sh. Ajay Shastri (Yoga Teacher).

Guest Lecturers from University of Delhi and Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) also delivered lectures.

Certificates to successful participants and a special prize to the topper of the course .
