No, sorry to say but Xaviers Institute of Communication, Mumbai does not offers Bachelors in Mass Communication course,

XIC Mumbai does not offer any Bachelors course in Mass Communication however it offers a diploma course in the same.

The Journalism Course is a 10 months full-time, Post-Graduate Advanced Diploma Programme intended as instruction in the role and function of mass media.

Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory for every Module. The attendance is taken into consideration for grading.


Eligibility Criteria:

One is eligible to register for the OET if you meet the requirements mentioned below:
Age limit: 35 years or below in age.
AND
One has completed 3 years of Graduation (12+3 years) in an University approved stream:
(Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, BMM, BMS, BE, Catering, etc….)
OR
The one appearing for the Last Semester or Third year Graduation this year.


Course Details:

A: Core Concepts 95 Sessions 19 Credits

Principles & Practice of Mass Communication
Media & the Law
Citizens, Human Rights and Public Affairs
Critical Appreciation of Art, Culture & Heritage
Hands-on Journalism

B: Core Skills 210 sessions 42 credits

English Language Skills
News Reporting
Editing
Features and Editorial Writing
Print Production
Computer Skills for Media
Photojournalism
Scripting for Broadcast Journalism
Social Media and On-line Journalism
Web Designing
Research Writing
Public Speaking and Presentation Skills
Radio Programme Production & On-line Radio
