Program Information

Center of Excellence is a 4-week non-residential enhancement program designed to grant rising high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in pharmacy a broader perspective of the academic requirements and exposure to various career opportunities in pharmacy.
The academic objective is to reinforce math and science concepts learned throughout the school year and introduce new content material.


Confucius Institute Intensive Chinese Immersion is a 1-week summer program offered to boys and girls ages 5-18 at Xavier University.
Through this program, students will gain exposure to the most spoken language in the world and a rich culture with 5000 years of history.
The language and culture instruction is embedded through fun and engaging educational activities such as Chinese traditional craft making, calligraphy, water and ink painting, singing, dancing, kungfu and more.


Summer Science Academy STAR Programs is a part of the STEM Institute Program and host three module programs.
These non-residential programs are aimed at middle school and high school students who have expressed an interest in science careers.
Designed to enhance knowledge of the subject matter prior to the student taking the course in middle school or high school, the three-week curriculum is engaging and thought provoking.

MathStar July 1 - July 19, 2020 9:00 am - 4:30 pm


SOAR: Stress On Analytical Reasoning is an intensive 3-week residential program that prepares rising high school seniors in analytical reasoning and provides early exposure to science and health careers.
A limited number of on-campus housing is available for SOAR participants living outside of the New Orleans Metropolitan Area.


SuperScholar EXCEL is an intensive 3-week residential program that is geared toward high school seniors who are interested in pursuing college degrees in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and education.
A limited number of on-campus housing is available for EXCEL participants living outside of the New Orleans Metropolitan Area.
