The Department of Education of Jadavpur University encourages admission applications from interested and eligible candidates every year for Jadavpur B Ed admission.

B.Ed Eligibility:

Candidate having graduation or Post Graduation from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (General category) are eligible to apply for B.Ed admission in Jadavpur University.

This condition will not applicable for candidates appointed as teachers earlier to the beginning of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) act.

Minimum percentage marks secured in undergraduate or the postgraduate course from any recognized university or institution:-

For both fresher & deputed candidates from general category – 50%
Candidates from SC/ST category (For fresher) – 40%*
Physically Disabled candidates (For fresher) – 45%
For SC/ST category (Deputed) 40% (Honors graduate and Master Degree)
Candidates from SC/ST category (For Deputed) – 37.5% (Pass graduate)
PD Candidates (For Deputed) – 45% (Pass graduate / Master Degree/ Honors graduate)

Age criteria-

For Fresher candidates the age limit would be 35 years
For Deputed candidates there will be no Age restriction
