World Health Organisation Diabetes Statistics
I am an officer of health department. Diabetes is worldwide health issue today. How many Indians are suffered from this disease? I want to know its statistical data of WHO (world health organisation). Please provide me its link.

Diabetes is a chronic disease, which occurs when the pancreas does not produce the amount of insulin required, or when the body can’t use effectively the insulin produced . Hence the concentration of glucose in the blood increases (hyperglycaemia). Age-standardized mortality rate because of Cardiovasular diseases and diabetes in year 2008 was 328 for ages 30-70, per 100 000 population.
