Objectives of Workshop:

The objective of workshop-cum-training program is intended to:
 Give an in-depth understanding of Cloud technologies and its application in library and information centres.
 To undertake practical experience for the subscription, installation and customization of Institutional Repository (Using Dspace)

To undertake practical experience for the installation, customization and management of Content Management Software (Using Joomla CMS)

 Introduction to cloud technology
 Application of Cloud technology in library and information centers;
 Introduction to popular cloud services;
 Comparison between Amazon-AWS and Microsoft-Azure cloud services and Badal
 Administration and Management of One Cloud Service Platform.
 Hands on session
Day 2: Institutional Repository
 Introduction to Institutional Repository;
 Comparison between DSPACE and EPRINTS;
 Installation, Customization of Dspace in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Linux) on Microsoft-Azure
platform;
 Operational Management of Dspace;
 Hands on session
Day 3: Content Management Software;
 Introduction to Content Management Software
 Comparison between JOOMLA and DRUPAL;
 Installation, Customization of Joomla app service on Microsoft-Azure platform;
 Creation and Management of effective CMS service

Day 4: Integrated LMS:
 Introduction KOHA and SOUL;
 Open Source Library Applications;
