The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was a municipal corporation, an autonomous body in the state of Delhi, India.

It provides civic facilities to more than 13.78 million people of Delhi,

Municipal Corporation of Delhi is one among the largest municipal bodies in the world.

It came into being in April, 1958

Among these three civic bodies it is the only one catering to the civic needs of resettlement colonies,
Regularized unauthorized colonies,
JJ squatter settlements,
Slum basties,
Private katras etc.
