Winter School on Speech and Audio Processing (WiSSAP) provides a forum for students, researchers and professionals to enhance their background and get exposed to intricate research areas in the field of speech and audio signal processing.

WiSSAP is targeted mainly towards post-graduate students, college teachers/faculty in educational institutions and scientists/researchers in research laboratories/industry who are interested in this area and would like to learn more about this area from some of the best researchers in the world.

WISSAP 2014 was held from January 17th to 20th, 2014 organized by Centre of Excellence in Signal Processing (CESP), International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad.

The theme of WiSSAP 2014 was Deep Learning for Multi-Lingual Speech Processing. The exponential growth of audio and speech data, coupled with increase in computing power, has led to increasing popularity of deep learning using neural networks.
