Why would an engineer get an MBA

Sir one of my friend has completed and b.tech and suddenly he want to do for admission in MBA program , and I don’t know why he want go for it , sir can you tell me why an engineer student take admission in MBA

I can understand your situation but I would like to tell you just one thing there is no science behind engineers trying to do MBA, they do may be want change their study field or for Opportunity to transform career from technical jobs to managerial or into areas of interest such as finance or marketing.

Some students think after practicing as an engineer that they prefer or are more suited for a management/business role in engineering, and so an MBA is logical, and want a graduate degree but don't want to complete their master's in engineering because they feel this may be harder for them.
