HOW TO JOIN FLYING BRANCH
There are 2 main ways in which one can join IAF’s Flying Branch and build a career in that Branch-

10+2 Entry (NDA)
Educational Qualifications
10+2 Science stream (Physics and Mathematics subjects)

Age Limit
16½ to 19 years

Gender
Only male candidates may apply

As a Graduate
Educational Qualifications
Graduation Degree (3 or 4 years long program from a Recognized University). Also 10+2 Science stream schooling (Physics and Mathematics subjects) is required in addition to Degree

Age limit
20 to 24 years

Gender
Only male candidates may apply for CDS and NCC entry. Both male and female candidates may apply for SSC entry

Physical standards:
Conditions pertaining to women that will entail rejection for all Air Force Duties:
Acute or chronic pelvic infection
Severe menorrhagia
Severe dysmenorrhea
Complete prolapse of uterus
Pregnancy/ Amenorrhea
Any other gynaecological condition, if so considered by the specialist.
