What is PCP in Annamalai University

Can you tell me what is Personal Contact Programme (PCP) - Annamalai University all about as I have heard about it a lot but cannot understand what is it and what it is all for?

Personal Contact Programmes or PCP is arranged at least twice a year in different centers, depending on the number of students enrolled in different areas, for all the programmes offered by the DDE.

A circular with details of date, venue and time for the PCP for the whole academic year will be sent to all the students. The Directorate reserves the right to fix, shift or cancel any PCP centre.

Students should make their own arrangements for their boarding and lodging at the centres where PCPs are held. There are no separate PCP classes for disabled students.

Generally, these programmes are held on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays during which, lectures and discussions are held on all subjects including orientation to do the practical.
