Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) conducted by Andhra University Visakhapatnam for providing admission into various Science, Arts, Pharmaceutical, Engineering and Law Courses . Paper Pattern for AUCET Exam: For all tests, the candidate has to answer 100 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes. Each question contains four alternative answers (a, b, c, d). candidate must mark the answer on OMR sheet and should not answer anywhere on the test booklet. 90 questions are spread over three parts, viz, A,B & C. Part A contains 40 questions(40 marks); Part B contains 30 questions (30 marks) and Part C contains 20 questions (20 marks). Total 90 questions to be answered in 75 minutes. Every wrong answer entails a deduction of 1/4 mark. Test booklet contains questions & answers in both English & Telugu versions wherever possible for all the tests except for languages namely English, Telugu, Hindi & Sanskrit. Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) is a state level entrance exam which is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for admission in postgraduate courses offered under the streams of Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management, Teaching and Journalism and Mass communication. One is offered admission in Andhra University and its affiliated colleges as well as Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam on the basis of the scores in AUCET entrance exam. It is conducted to offer admission to courses such as MSc, MA, M Com, MHRM, MJMC, MLISc, MP Ed, MEd, M Tech into various Andhra Universities. AUCET Eligibility Criteria Nationality and Domicile One must be a citizen of India. One should belong to the Andhra Pradesh state and must hold a valid proof of the state’s residency as subsequently amended in the Andhra Pradesh State, Educational Institutions 1974. Educational Qualifications One must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board as equivalent to as Andhra University with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). One who has appeared/appearing for their final year examination is also eligible. Age Limit There is no age limit to appear for AUCET. The maximum eligible age to apply for a fee reimbursement for reserved classes (SC/ST) is 34 and for EBC/Minorities/Disabled candidates is 30 years. AUCET Exam Pattern A total number of questions will be 100 and candidates will get 90 minutes to solve those questions. Each correct answer carries one mark. Every question will contain four alternatives among which they need to mark the right answer. One needs to mark the appropriate answer to questions in the OMR sheet only. One is not allowed to mark the answer on the test booklet.
