Union Public Service Commission conducts IAS Examinations for recruitment of eligible candidates .

Eligibility :


Nationality :

Citizen of India.

Education qualification:
Candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.

Age limit:

Category Maximum Age
General 32

OBC 32+3=35

SC/ST 32+5=37

Physically disabled
(Blind, Deaf-mute, Orthopedic) 32+10=42


Attempt

Category Attempt
General 6

OBC 9

SC/ST As many as up to age
Limit

Physically disabled
(Blind, Deaf-mute, Orthopedic) if general then 9
OBC then 9
SC/ST- then up to age limit

Scheme of CS (Preliminary) Examination

Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks.

The Question Papers (Test Booklets) are set in English & Hindi

General Studies Paper - I 200 Marks

General Studies Paper - II 200 Marks

Scheme - CS (Main)
