The Master of Science degree in Nursing (M.S.N.), Family Nurse Practitioner, prepares nurses in an advanced practice role with competencies in family health promotion.

MSN Program


Current Available MSN tracks include:

Nurse Educator

Nursing Leadership

Nurse Anesthesia

MSN Admission Requirements:

Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on 4.0 scale on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework

Statistics course, undergraduate or graduate level

Research course, undergraduate

Registered nurse eligible for licensure to practice in the state in which the student intends to practice

Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a registered nurse within the last five years

Three professional references: one must be from current or recent immediate supervisor

Submit a resume and professional statement with the online Graduate School application

Submit competitive GRE or MAT scores.

Application Deadlines:

1. Nurse Leadership and Nurse Educator admit twice a year:

April 1 for the Fall semester
October 15 for the Spring semester

2. Family Nurse Practitioner admits once a year:

February 15 for the Fall semester

3. Nurse Anesthesia admits once a year:

May 15 for the Spring semester
