As you asking I am telling West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts WB JECA exam for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course. Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university with Mathematics as a compulsory subject in Graduation. Candidates appearing for their final year degree examination are also eligible to apply for WB JECA . Key dates Information brochure will be available from Released Online application process 4th May, 2016 to 16th June, 2016 Application fee payment through e-challan or through e-payment gateway 16th June, 2016 Admit card will be downloaded from Updated soon JECA 2016 exam date (online) 23rd July, 2016 JECA 2016 result 27th July, 2016 WB JECA Syllabus: Following is the detailed syllabus for WBJECA 2015 exam: Paper I:- (i) Analytical Geometry: Cartesian and polar coordinate; Straight line; Circle; Ellipse; Parabola; Hyperbola; Translation & Rotation of axes. (ii) Algebra: Complex number, De Moiver’s theorem, Solution of linear equations, Determinants, Matrices, Summation of signal series, Addition of vectors, Scalar and Vector products, Inequation, Sets and elements, Universal set, Empty set, Subsets, Venn diagram, Union and intersection of sets, Complements, Algebra of sets, Finite sets, Class of sets, Partitions, Cross product, Group, Ring and Field. (iii) Calculus: Limit, Continuity, Differentiation; Maxima & minima; Taylor & Maclaruin’s Series: Definite and indefinite integrals, First ana second order differential equation; Functions of several variables; Partial differentiation. (iv) Probability & Statistics : Permutation, Combination; Probability; Probability distribution; Mean; Median; Mode; Standard Deviation; Correlation coefficient. Paper II:- (i) Reasoning, (ii) Problem Solving (iii) Quantitative Comparison (iv) Discrete Quantitative Analysis (v) Data interpretation Paper Pattern WB JECA Paper Pattern: WB JECA shall consists of two papers Paper-I: MATHEMATICS Paper-II: APTITUDE TEST Paper-1: Mathematics (100 marks): 50 MCQs (each bearing 2 marks) will have to be answered ONLINE. 1 / 2 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Time: Two hours. Paper –2: Aptitude test (100 marks) : There will be 30 questions of 3 marks each and 10 questions of 1 mark each. For each wrong answer, 1/4 of the total mark(s) allotted to the question will be deducted. Time : One hour. |
