The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a competitive engineering entrance exam which is conducted by WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board).

The WBJEEB was founded in the year 1962 primarily to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses in the state of West Bengal.

The WBJEE exam was conducted on Sunday, 22nd April 2018.

Exam paper analysis:

The exam was conducted in a pen and paper based format in different exam centers across the state of West Bengal.

Around 1.27 lakh candidates appeared for WBJEE for the 34,125 available seats.

WBJEE was conducted in two shifts, paper 1 and paper 2.

Paper 1 which was Mathematics exam took place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and Paper 2 which was Chemistry and Physics combined were held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The time duration for each paper was 2 hours.

Overall Analysis:

The WBJEE exam paper was easy but the mathematics section was a little tough.
