The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission in engineering and architecture courses in state of West Bengal. WBJEE exam 2016 was conducted on 17 May 2016. The result was announced on 05 June 2016. Important dates- Information brochure along proforma for domicile and income certificate will be released on 24-Dec-15 Application form will be available from 05-Jan-15 Last date to submit the application form will be 29 February 2016 (11:59 pm) Required documents can be submitted till 2 March 2016 (11:59 pm) Application fee must be paid before 5 March 2016 (11:59 pm) Confirmation page could be downloaded till 31 March 2016 (11:59 pm) Application correction window (based on board’s feedback and self-induced errors) along with uploading of correct certificates etc by candidates 7 to 12 March (10:30 am) to 12 March 2016 (11:59 pm) Issuance of WBJEE admit card 03-May-16 WBJEE 2016 due on: Biological Sciences Physics and chemistry Mathematics 17 May 2016 9 am to 11:30 pm 12:45 pm to 2:45 pm 3:30 am to 5:30 pm Result will be announced on 05-Jun-16 Counselling for WBJEE 2016 qualifiers began from 15-Jun-16 WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 10+2 from a recognized institution with English, Physics and Mathematics as core subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subjects as optional subjects Candidate must have attained at least 45% marks in qualifying exam (criteria for ST/ SC/ PwD/ OBC is 40%) and should have scored at least 30% marks in English. Applicant must be 17 years old. There is no provision for the upper age limit. Applicant must be a citizen of India. WBJEE Exam Pattern All the questions will be of multiple choice type. All the papers will be divided into three category. Each question in Category-I will be of 1 mark. Whereas, the questions in Category-II and Category-III will be of 2 marks. Physics-Chemistry Paper: The exam will be of 2 hours. There will be 80 questions of 100 marks in it. Mathematics Paper: The exam will be of two hours. There will be 75 questions of 100 marks. Biology Paper: The exam will be of 2 hours 30 minutes. There will be 115 questions of 150 marks. |
