Re: WBJEE First Round Seat Allotment Result

WBJEEB had conducted the JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) 2017 exam on April 23, for students seeking admission in undergraduate Engineering Courses in various institutions of West Bengal.

There are 3 rounds of WBJEE seat allotment 2017. The seat allotment is being done through WBJEE counselling conducted in the online mode.

In first round of seat allotment, all the seats were allotted to all and the result indicating name of institutes and branches was made available in online mode. Seats in the second and third round are allotted against the available seats respectively.

Important Dates of WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment

WBJEE Registration, Choice filling June 12 to 19, 2017
Locking of choices June 20, 2017
Round 1- Seat allotment June 23, 2017
Round 1 - Reporting to RC, fee payment, withdrawal June 24 to July 1, 2017
Round 2- Seat allotment July 4, 2017
Round 2 - Reporting to RC, fee payment, withdrawal July 5 to 7, 2017
Round 3- Seat allotment July 12, 2017
Round 3 - Reporting to RC, fee payment, withdrawal July 13 & 14, 2017


WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment- Round 1

Candidates were allotted seats as per the merit list of WBJEE. The seat allotment result was published on June 23, 2017. Candidates had to report to the Reporting Centres (RCs) in person in between June 24 to July 1 to complete the formalities.

Candidates who wish to withdraw their allotted seats were required to report to the same reporting centre where the provisional admission was taken.

WBJEE 2017 Seat Acceptance Fee

After a seat is allotted in any of the three rounds of WBJEE seat allotment, one has to pay seat acceptance fee. The fee can be remitted using e- Challan of Allahabad Bank or Debit/Credit Card.

Only after paying the requisite fee one can download the provisional seat allotment letter. The seat acceptance fee for the different category is as given below:

Quota Seat Acceptance Fee
TFW Rs 4, 000
State Aided/ Govt Institutes Rs 5, 000
Self financing Universities/ Institutes Rs 20,000
