West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) conduct for admission to undergraduate courses in Medical, Dental, Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self Financed Institutes in West Bengal .

Important Dates of 2014:
Online form fill-up 18th Dec 2013 to 20th Jan 2014
Fee payment: 18th Dec 2013 to 23rd Jan 2014
Last date of Printing of Confirmation Page: 27th Jan 2014
Last date of Receipt of Confirmation Page: 04th Feb 2014
Status of receipt of confirmation page together with discrepancies, if any (Continuous as available): 10th Jan 2014 to 28th Feb 2014
Publication of entire data inclusive of photo, LTI, signature (in three/four batches): 10th Feb 2014 to 04th Mar 2014
Correction window dates: 05th Mar 2014 to 10th Mar 2014
Last date of sending correct testimonials if needed: 20th Mar 2014
Publication of downloadable Admit Card: 02nd Apr 2014
Date of Examination: 19th Apr 2014 (Biological Sciences); 20th Apr 2014 (Maths, Physics, Chemistry)
Publication of results: By 10th June 2014


Availability of courses:
Option-I: Engg/Tech/Arch/Pharm; Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (Type E)

Option-II: Medical/Dental/Pharm; Biological Sciences, Physics, Chemistry (Type M)

Option-III: Engg/Tech/Arch/Pharm/Medical/Dental; Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (Type C)


Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant must be a citizen of India

Age Restriction:
Engineering/Technology (other than Marine Engineering), Pharmacy & Architecture Courses:
Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31st Dec 2014
There is no upper age limit

Marine Engineering course:
Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age or above as on 31st Dec and must not be above 25 (twenty five) years of age as on 31st July.

Medical/Dental Courses:
Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31st Dec.
There is no upper age limit

Educational Qualification:
Candidates who are appearing for the higher secondary examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination in 2014

Engineering/Technology courses other than Marine Engg:
Candidates must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination of West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or equivalent exam from a recognized council/board with:

Individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects (Engg Drawing, Computer Science)

Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST/PwD/OBC candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying exam

Marine Engg Course:
Candidates must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board with; 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together with individual pass marks in the said subjects; Minimum of 50% marks in English as subject in either in 10th or in 10+2 standard

Architecture Course:
A candidate, besides satisfying the eligibility criteria as stated in must qualify in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and necessary document in this regard is to be produced at the time of Counseling

Pharmacy Course:
Candidates must pass higher secondary (10+2) exam of West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or equivalent exam from a recognized Council/Board with; individual pass marks in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects (Engg Drawing / Computer Science); minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST/ PwD/OBC candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying examination of the higher secondary (10+2)

Medical/Dental Courses:
General candidates must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination of West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences with a individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

Minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates, 45% OBC-A, OBC-B candidates) and 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying exam
