WBCS Group C exam Eligibility

Hi I want to know the percentage required in graduation to appear in WBCS Group C exam?

There is no fixed percentage required to sit in WBCS Group C exam. West Bengal Civil Services Commission conducts WBCS Exams every year for the recruitments of staffs and officers in 20 departments of West Bengal Government.

WBCS exam Eligibility-

A degree of a recognized University.
Ability to read, write and speak Bengali.

Age Limit

Candidates age should be between 21 years to 32 years as on 01-01-2014.

The upper age limit is relaxable for S.C., S.T. & B.C. candidates of West Bengal, by 5 years for S.C. & S.T. Candidates and by 3 years for B.C. candidates.
In the case of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), the upper age limit is relaxable upto 45 years.

Application Fee –

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 210/- as application fee either Offline or online mode. SC/ ST, PWD candidates of West Bengal are exempted from fee.

Starting date for Submission of Online Application Form: 08-04-2014
Last Date for Submission of Application form: 28-04-2014
Last Date to Apply Online: 30-04-2014

WBCS Exam Pattern:-

The WBCS Exam is held on 3 successive stages;>>the Preliminary Examination (Objective Type),
Main Examination (Subjective Type),
Personality Test/ interview.

Pre. Exam syllabus-

English Composition - It will be of 25 Marks.
General Science - It will be of 25 Marks.
Current Events on National and International news - It will be 25 of marks.
History of India - It will be of 25 Marks.
Geography of India with related to west Bengal - It will be of 25 marks.
Indian Politics and Economics - It will be of 25 Marks.
Indian National Movement - It will be of 25 Marks.
General Mental Ability - It will be of 25 Marks.
