Re: WB TET Syllabus of Social Studies

Hello, I am looking for the details regarding the WB TET exam. So I am providing it to you:

Application form Fee:


• General and OBC candidates: Rs 250/-
• SC/ST and PH candidates: Rs 80/-

Paper pattern:


WBTET will of 150 Marks. Questions will be Objective Multiple Choice Type and time allotted will be 90 minutes. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers but candidate must acquire a minimum 40% marks to get qualified.

Following is the paper pattern for the exam as per the guidelines laid down by NCTE.
i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) 30 MCQs- 30 Marks
ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs- 30 Marks
iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs- 30 Marks

iv)
(a)For Mathematics and Science teacher:- Mathematics and Science - 60 MCQs of 1 mark each
(b) For Social studies teacher : Social Studies - 60 MCQs of 1 mark each
(c) For any other teacher–either 4(a) or 4(b).

[Please note: First three papers are compulsory for all candidates. Candidates are required to make a selection in terms of iv (a) or (b) papers]

In the OMR form commerce graduates may apply for Arts. Commerce graduates or graduates of any other stream of education may prefer either a combination of arts and social science or science and technical segment.
