Scientist is the most valuable professional in the modern society of our times, so is the career as a Scientist. The first and the most important step to become scientist are to choose a specialty from a variety of specific filed: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Geology, Astronomy or other life/social sciences Then you should go with one of following course: Bachelors of Art (Social Sciences) Bachelor of Science (In applied and Physical Science and related subjects) B.E./B.Tech. in related Field Eligibility 1. Educational Qualification The applicant should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in their related subjects. Some time a specific percentage of marks (50% or 60%) may be demanded by the reputed institutes/universities to provide admission. Aspiring candidate has to apply for the entrance tests like AIEEE, IIT-JEE etc. Step 2 After getting the basic qualification in the related field of interest the aspiring candidates have to apply for the Master’s Degree that can be: Master of Science (M.Sc.) M.E./ M.Tech. Or any other Master’s degree in the related field Some of the Institutes of repute where the budding scientist can look for jobs are in India are- Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) Indian Association for Cultivation of Science, Kolkata (IACS) Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) Salary To start with the budding scientists from prestigious institutes like IIT’s, IISc’s etc can get anything between Rs.2,00,000 to Rs.2,50,000 as annual income. |
