Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (VMRF) is a private collegiate research institution established in 1981. In 2001 the "Deemed University" status was conferred on it by Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, with the recommendations of the UGC.

It is affiliated to UGC, NAAC, MCI, DCI, NBA-AICTE, PCI, INC and AIU. In 2015, it was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council with B Grade.

Its policy is to prepare the students with knowledge, skill and competence to stand up to any challenges in the spheres of Medicine and its allied fields, Dentistry, Engineering and Technology, Management, Basic Sciences and Humanities and expose them to the changing global trends of knowledge and technology.
