I have completed 12th and now I want to do MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Vidyasagar University Distance Education, so can you tell me what education eligibility is required by Directorate of Distance Education of Vidyasagar University?

Can you tell me the eligibility requirement for admission in courses offered by Faculty of Science of Directorate of Distance Education, Vidyasagar University?

The University was established on 29th September 1981 by an Act called the Vidyasagar University Act 1981 (West Bengal Act XVIII of 1981) after the name of Pandit Iswar Chandra Bandyopadhyay, known as Vidyasagar, the educationist and social worker of Bengal.

Faculty of Science

M.Sc. in Environment Science (30 seats are reserved for sponsored candidates only at V.U. Center)
M.Sc. in Physics
M.Sc. in Zoology
M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics
M.Sc. in Chemistry
M.A. / M.Sc. in Geography
M.Sc. in Botany

Duration

Two years

Admission Eligibility:-


1. M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography (M.A. / M.Sc.) and Applied Mathematics - Hons. / Spl. Hons. / Major in relevant subject.
2. M.Sc. in Dietetics and Community Nutrition Management - (i) Hons. in Physiology / Zoology / Nursing / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Nutrition / Food & Nutrition / Home Science / Three-year General Graduate with any one of the above subjects / B.Sc. (Ag. / Vocational / Major), (ii) MBBS / BHMS / BAMS.
3. M.Sc. in Environmental Science - Hons. / Spl. Hons. / Major / 3 year General Graduate in science subjects including Economics and Geography.

These criteria are relaxed for sponsored candidate with ordinarily 3 years' experience in science laboratories / industries / academic and research institutes. In such case, 2 year pass / 3 year pass graduates is also eligible.

Sponsored candidates can take admission only at Vidyasagar University Center (Headquarter).
