Department of Biotechnology established in 2006 with an aim to cater to the need of higher education in the emerging field of Biotechnology.

COURSE INFORMATION:

M.Sc. Integrated Biotechnology (Self-Financed)
The Departments offers a Five year integrated course in Biotechnology. The students retain the option of taking only the Bachelors degree.

Programme Name: M.Sc. Integrated Biotechnology (Self-Financed)

Entry Level

B.Sc First Year. (Semester I)

Two Course combinations are offered:

1: Biotechnology + Microbiology + Botany.
2: Biotechnology + Microbiology + Zoology.

M. Sc. First Year. (Semester VII)

Eligibility

For B. Sc. - H.S.C or equivalent with Science (B or AB Group)

For M.Sc. - B.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry.

Intake: 60.

Seats are reserved for wards of Central Government employees (in Service men and Ex-service men) and students having sports quota, over and above the total intake.
