The MBA or Master in Business Administration program of UUM or Universiti Utara Malaysia aims to produce graduates who are flexible, responsive, efficient and effective in managing organizations. Program Structure One is required to complete at least 42 credit hours which consist of 30 credit hours of core courses and 12 credit hours of elective/specialization courses. One is required to complete 10 core courses and 4 elective courses from any specialized courses: Core Course (30 Credit Hours) BJMP 5023 Operations and Technology Management BKBM 5013 Management Accounting for Managers BPMM 6013 Marketing Management BPMN 6023 Strategic Management (Capstone) BPMN 6043 Leadership in Organization BPMN 6053 Management Information System BWFM 5013 Corporate Finance GMUL 5063 Ethics, Law and Corporate Social Responsibility SEEG 5013 Managerial Economics SQQP 5023 Decision Analysis Specialization Course (12 Credit Hours) Choose any 4 courses from; A) Accounting B) Finance C) Supply Chain Management D) Technology Management E) Project Management F) Marketing G) Agribusiness H) Sustainable Development I) Muamalat Management J) Healthcare Management K) Human Resource Management L) International Business M) Logistics Management N) Risk Management And Insurance O) Tourism And Hospitality Management Enrollment Selection is based on the Admissions Committee’s careful evaluation of one’s academic history, English Proficiency Test results or TOEFL, GMAT scores, recommendations, work experience, interviews and commitment to complete the program. Ii also consider one’s academic ability, personal character, motivation, leadership ability, interpersonal skills, work experience and management potential. In general the entry requirements to the MBA program is as follow: 1. A Bachelor degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognized by the University Senate with a CGPA of at least 2.75; AND 2. Minimum 3 years of work experience relevant to the chosen area of specialization or a good score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT); OR 3. A diploma from any institution of higher learning recognized by the University Senate with at least 10 years of relevant work experience and aged 35 years or older; AND 4.
