The Uttarakhand university of Horticulture and Forestry Ranichauri situated 15 km from New Tehri, 71 km from Rishikesh and 110 km from Dehradun on Rishikesh - New Tehri Road.

The principal of the college is Prof. Chandra Mohan Sharma
The university worked in the development of forests, and also in the fields of Agriculture

They works in close collaboration with State Extension Departments and NGOs for transfer of technology.

It gives Training to the farmers, farm women and functionaries of development agencies along with demonstrations at farmers' field are primarily conducted through Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) situated in the campus. Kisan Mela, Kisan Diwas, Exhibitions, Seminars, Gosthies, etc. are also organized from time to time.
