UPRTOU Admission Criteria


There is no age limit of the candidate for admission.

Applicant has secured at least 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST candidates) or a grade equivalent.

The students may opt for their centre of study subject to availability of program in the
centre concerned.

A student can take admission in two programs; One degree and other diploma /
certificate program simultaneously in a particular academic session.

A regular student of another university may be admitted to any course of this
University.

Study materials are supplied to students by the university without charging any extra
Fee.


You have to give the entrance test for the admission

Entrance Test:

There shall be one paper in Ph.D. Entrance Test containing two sectionsSection

A: 10 Short Answer Questions: 50 Marks

(Questions related to reasoning & mental ability, research, quantitative aptitude, general awareness /knowledge etc. which an average P.G. Degree holder is expected to posses, shall be included in this section.

10 Questions of 05 Marks each

(To be answered in about 75 words each)

Section B: Two essay type questions of 25 marks each 50 Marks

(To be answered in not more than 600 words each)

However, JRF/ Net/ UPSLET/ CSIR qualified candidates shall be exempted from the entrance test
