The first Public Service Commission came into existence on 1st October 1926 under the Government of India Act of 1935. The services of the commission showed negative response from the people and they rose against the actions of the commission. The formation of Public Service Commission at the provincial level happened during this time. For setting the unbiased recruitment to Civil Services and protecting the public interest the independent government of India give a constitutional status to Federal Public Service Commission and formed Union Public Service Commission in 26th January 1950. The Union Public service commission is the central agency authorized to conduct the following examinations.

In the year 2013 the Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct following examinations. Here is the list of examination

There is no examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of Senior Scientific Officers in various departments. I am giving the details of qualification, experience and duties of a senior research officer for your reference.

Qualification:

 The qualification of the post will differ based on the department and post you are choosing in the UPSC recruitment. Engineering Degree, M Tech degree, M Sc degree or PhD Degree in the relevant field is desired.

 Knowledge of French, German, Russian, Japanese or Chinese is desirable.

Experience
Minimun of two or more years of practical experience in the relevant field is desired for the recruiting candidates.

Senior Scientific Officer Duties
 Preparation of specifications and vetting of documents pertaining of procurement of items/ stores

 Technical Evaluation, testing, inspection, quality assurance, activities of equipment, system/sub system and stores indented to the relevant disciplines

 Creation of test facilities as per various laid down standards/ specifications

 Value engineering studies of items/ stores

 Product improvement, indigenization and development work on systems/ products.

 Interaction with the industry and the preparation of capacity/capability reports.

 Technical Documentation

 Administration of Test Lab

Recruitment Rules:
In accordance with the provisions contained in Article 320 of the constitution read with the provision of Union Public Service commission. Regulations 1958, recruitment rules of all group A and B in various ministries/department/ service rules for all groups that is A and B organized services of government of India for are required to be framed in consultation with the commission. Consulation with the commission is also necessary for framing and amending recruitment rules for certain categories of posts under the Employee State Insurance Corporation, the Delhi Municipal Council, Employee Provident Fund Organization etc, under the relevant acts made by Parliament in the pursuance of the provisions of Article 321.

The recruitment notification for the Senior Scientific Officer can be had from the official website of Union Public Service Commission. Currently there are no recruitment notifications provided in the official website of UPSC. There are no tentative dates for the recruitment. The recruitment results of previous year in various departments of Ministries, Services and departments for the post of Senior Scientific Officer has been declared for some of the departments in the official website of Union Public Service Commission. The results were provided as pdf files.

You can make participation in the recruitment by applying online from the official online portal of the Union Public Service Commission. You need o register first from the official website. In the official website you can see the online recruitment button in the official website and on entering the page you can see the new registration icon in the page. You need to enter name, father’s name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, state, nationality, email address, desired password, confirmation image and click the save & continue button to end the process. You can see the details of registration in a box if you want to edit the information once more you can click on the edit option provided. Then press the click here button provided in the bottom of the page and you will be provided with the registration Id.

After completing the process you can submit your application with the registration id and password you can make registration possible. While entering the page you can see the documents that are required for applying for the post. Improvement exams in DU

Hi,
I graduated from DU SOL in 2019 and score a mere 48%. I am obviously giving improvement exams next year of the first year exams to increase it to 1st division.
Can you please tell me, will an extra year get added to my certificate? Will it be written as 2016-2019 or 2016-2020?
Also I am a CAT aspirant.
