UPSC IES for Computer Science
I am going to take part in the UPSC IES examination, so I want to know if students of B.Tech (Computer science) can apply for the exam. If yes, tell me and also give me the syllabus of the exam.

UPSC conducts IES (Indian engineering services) exam. As the basic eligibility for the exam is a degree in Engineering from a University or degree/diploma in engineering so you are quite eligible for the exam. As the syllabus of the exam is based on the various branches so I am providing you syllabus of the Civil Engineering Paper I: 1. Building Materials Timber : Different types and species of structural timber, density-moisture relationship, strength in different directions, defects, influence of defects on permissible stress, preservation, dry and wet rots, codal provisions for design, Plywood. Bricks: Types, Indian Standard classification, absorption, saturation factor, strength in masonry, influence of morter strength on masonry strength. Cement: Compounds of, different types, setting times, strength. Rest of the syllabus is in the attachment, you can get the syllabus after downloading the attachment from here. |
