Union Public service commission (UPSC) conduct Engineering Service exam every year . Engineering Service Exam Eligibility Nationality : A candidate must be either : A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee Number of attempts :- Civil Service Examination – General-4, OBC-7, SC/ST- No restriction IFS Examination- General-4, OBC-7, SC/ST-No restriction There is no restriction on number of attempts in any other Examination conducted by the Commission. Age Limits: 21 years -30 years Qualification: Candidate possessing a degree in Engineering in any discipline is eligible for taking Engineering Service Examination. Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination i. Civil Engineering ii. Mechanical Engineering iii. Electrical Engineering iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Scheme of Examination Written Examination Paper I (Objective type) General Ability Test (Part A: General English) (Part B: General Studies) 200 Marks Papers II & III (Objective type) Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering 200 Marks for each paper Papers IV & V(Conventional Type) Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering 200 Marks for each paper Total marks for written Examination 1000 Marks Personality Test 200 Marks |
