Eligibility:

Education Qualification:

The candidate must have the degree in Engineering or passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers. The applicants who have obtained a degree/ diploma in Engineering or passed graduate membership examination of the institution of electronics and radio engineers are also eligible for the exam.

Paper Pattern:

(a) General Ability Test - Common for the candidates of all the trades:Part A General English 2Hrs. 200
Part B General Studies

(b) Relevant Trade Paper - Covering whole of the syllabus of the particular trade. For example for Civil Engineering it would be:Civil Engineering Paper I 2 Hrs 200
Civil Engineering Paper II 2 Hrs 200

2. Conventional Papers consists ofCivil Engineering Paper I 3 Hrs 200
Civil Engineering Paper II 3 Hrs 200

Total Marks for the whole Exam: (200+200+200+200+200=1000 Marks)

Combined Engineering Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ) of India
