The detail about the UPPSC (Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission) Interview section of the Entrance Exams is as follows: Questions are asked from broadly four categories Questions about you: The interviewers ask questions directly about you from your resume/CV for example details about your name, your hobbies, your qualifications, your hometown etc. Current affairs: Anything and everything in the past 5 years may be asked, but focus is given on the current year. Static information: Information about politics, economics, general knowledge, knowledge of your specific field. Situational questions: One is definitely being asked why one is interested in the Civil Services. Other likely questions include why you believe you are suitable for the Civil Services and how you will deal with specific situations in the line of work if selected. Some Questions Relating to your name: Any famous personality who has a similar or same name or surname Your career choice Why you want to opt for the civil services. You’re Hobbies: Why you pursue such a hobby or questions related to your hobby. Hot topics of recent days like the Bird Flu, Office of Profit, Sahara airlines deal and the growing airlines, Terror attacks in India, India US Nuclear deal, Commonwealth games, etc. Situational questions like: If you were the collector/SP of Varanasi, what would you do after the Bomb Blast? Choice of services: The order of your choice of services can raise questions too. About your institution and related Don't you think you can serve your country better by remaining a doctor and treating poor patients? Why do you want to be a civil servant? What are the problems faced by wheat cultivators in your state? Is there a law in physics, which is relevant to administration? The Personality test will be scored on the basis of the following factors: 1. Mental alertness 2. Critical powers of assimilation 3. Clear and logical exposition 4. Social traits 5.
