Is UPES A Private University

I want to do B.Tech from UPES University. My friend said me that it is a Private University. So I want to confirm you that is UPES University private or not?

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the 2003.

This was set up through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand.

This University is approved by UGC and accredited to NAAC.

It is ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution.

This University also recognized by Bar Council of India.


As per my information, the UPES is a State Public-Private University.
