The Vice chancellor of JIIT is provides updates for The Deemed University Status Of JIIT. The institute has 7 academic departments and offers programs in technical education at undergraduate, and doctorate level.

The Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) is a Deemed to be University under section 3(f) of UGC Act of 1956.

JIIT is accredited by the NAAC for a period of 5 years w.e.f. 16 Sep, 2015.

Last year JIIT was ranked amongst the top 60 institutions in the country by NIRF by MHRD, GOI in the year 2015 in Engineering category, which includes Institutions of national importance and excellence like IITs, NITs, etc.

Update On The Deemed University Status Of JIIT by VC:

Dated November 19,2011

In relation to Directions of Honble Supreme Court, the MHRD filed its report on 02 Nov 2011.

Further, the JIIT has filed its rejoinder in the Honble Supreme Court as required.

The next hearing has been postponed. Fresh dates have not yet been decided.
