Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test APTET exam is conducted by Higher Education Board of Andhra Pradesh, for the recruitment of teachers at Andhra Pradesh Govt. Schools. Education Qualification : Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or other equivalent certificates recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. OR Must possess Academic degrees of Universities recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) Age Limit : Minimum age 18 years and Maximum Age 40 years. Application Fees: The applicants have to pay a fee of Rs. 250/- APTET Exam Pattern: All questions in APTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Each carrying one mark There will be no negative marking. The Written test Comprises of Paper-I and Paper-II. 1. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. 2. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. 3. A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and Classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II). Paper-I: It consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions & each question carries one mark and the time duration is 2 ½ hours. Structure & Content of Paper-I: S.No Subject No of MCQs Marks 1 Child Development and Pedagogy 30 30 2 Language I 30 30 3 Language II (English) 30 30 4 Mathematics 30 30 5 Environmental Studies 30 30 TOTAL 150 150 Paper-II: It consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions & each question carries one mark and the time duration is 2 ½ hours.
